Research, development and innovation belongs to the core business of WATTPIC
Actually WATTPIC is executing four research projects supported by and with collaboration of the Catalan Centre of Innovation and Development for Companies (CIDEM) from the department of public works and industry of the Catalan government.

Technical and economical optimisation of thermal solar energy for ACS

Micro distributed generation: Micro network for distributed generation

Projects in execution:

DeSol:

Main objective of this European project is to develop a solar desalination technology for seawater desalination in the Mediterranean area. DeSol aims to realize a system with an efficient process that desalinates water into potable water using thermal energy.

Wattpic is involved in the technical design and exploitation of this technology. The DeSol project started in January 2006 and will run for two years.
