Wattpic’s product development strategy consists in a structured approach, triggered by the business development/market and/or by the R+D department in close collaboration.
It is based in the 4 areas of Wattpic and the R+D is based on open innovation. Wattpic is in the position to have a Laboratory to test prototypes immediately and to invite other companies to participate in the Laboratory.
The fast and easy possibility to test prototypes in Mas Roig intel.ligent energy Laboratory and to integrate new products in existing solutions significantly reduces the costs and time to market.
The R+D team can use the Laboratory facilities for applied research and develop new prototypes and sometimes patents.
This approach was developed successfully on several occasions and proves Wattpic’s competence of excellent R+D and successful product development.
The market analyses team is in close cooperation with the R+D team in all stages of product development.
For he final stage of the product development phase, the Business Development team has by then prepared a detailed market entry strategy and had initial contacts with potential customers and sales partners.
